OO.com.au, an Overstock Outlet company which I have reviewed here, has now introduced their own reward/loyalty system, where every dollar you spent there will earn you one point reward. However, earning rewards shouldn’t stop here, and this article will be looking at maximising the rewards when you shop at OO.com.au

OO.com.au Customer Rewards

It has just been introduced today in their newsletter, OO.com.au reward automatically gives you one point for every dollar you spent on item purchased in OO.com.au. You can collect those points, and exchange for rewards later on. A few steps to get this going:

1. You need to register an account, and all your OO.com.au transactions will go through this account, which also make your purchases there more streamline.
2. Click on “My Account” at the top of the page, and click on “Rewards” to sign up a rewards account. You’ll be credited with 20 free points after signing up. Not sure why it is not done automatically after step 1.
3. Go shopping!!! Things are cheap at OO.com.au, and you can check out their warehouse or do pick up at their Meadowbank warehouse, if you want to save on delivery (something I would like to see Deals Direct to follow up). Every dollar you spent will earn you one point.
4. After you have collected enough points, you can browse the reward category and redeem your rewards.

Currently rewards start from 500 points. I believe the OO.com.au will continue to add to their reward catelogue for people to redeem their points.

Partner with Email Cache

Email Cash is one of Australia’s premium reward program that let you earn points by making purchases from their reward partners, taking on-line surveys and playing games. Earning reward is not a tedious process, and it is actually fun. I shall reserve “Exploring Email Cash” to a separate post.

OO.com.au happens to be one of Email Cash’s reward partner, and for each $1 you spend in OO.com.au, you’ll get 1 Email Cash point. With roughly 3,000 email points you can get a $30 cheque sent to you — yes real money going to your bank account so it is quite a nice reward.

Here are the steps:

1. Join Email Cash — all you need is your email address and password.
2. Go to Email Cash’s OO.com.au page, and click on “Start Shopping”.
3. Make your purchase in OO.com.au. Make sure you have already got an OO.com.au account, and have already signed up with their reward points!
4. After you have made the purchase, come back to Email Cash, and go to their claim page. Click on “Claim” next to your purchase. Now put in your order number, purchase date and amount paid. Once it is verified, reward points will be credited to your account.

Reward Credit Card

Don’t forget that you can make purchase at OO.com.au using VISA, MasterCard, American Express and PayPal, and there are rewards to be made!

Currently my personal favourite is still National Bank’s VISA Mini, which guarantees you 1% cash back, for up to $10 a month. No reward points to be gain, and complicated process to claim — just spend and you’ll get some back at the end of the month.

Please do note that VISA Mini has a very high interest rate, which would definite hurt your wallet if you don’t pay off what you owe after the interest free period. Still, make sure you only spend what you have, and don’t abuse credit cards.

Conclusion

Now, you have 3 rewards to earn when you purchase from OO.com.au, and you can earn them at the same time from one single purchase. Plus the cheap price from one of Australia’s best bargain on-line shop, what are you waiting for?
