While local retailers are still offering good deals, the emergence of Amazon’s worldwide inventory of well priced goods is set to challenge all retailers serving Australia. The grey/parallel market for mobile phones has helped Shopping Square and other retailers like Kogan (up 285% vs. 2011) to be successful on OzBargain. Until wholesalers stop price gouging retailers, it’s most probable that this trend will continue in the near future.
