What is this?

Oz Bargain Blog is a blog where I put daily encounter of cheap deals on the Internet, to share with family, friends and complete strangers. The main focus is on the cheap deals in Australia, so please assume that all the monetary values are in Australian currency, unless explicitly stated.

Since November 2007 it has shifted to become the blog for OzBargain.com.au, a collaborative bargain sharing site where everyone can contribute and share the good deals they found. I have also changed the tone of this blog from bargain sharing to running OzBargain.

Why?

While there are a lot of deals blogs and price comparison websites in the States, I haven’t been able to find a good one for the Australian market. Thus I created this blog hoping to help fellow Aussies getting good local deals.

Oh, also because I am cheap :)

I use WordPress + various customised plugins. Images are mostly prepared with Gimp and ImageMagick, and all code are written in Vim.
