Despite the uptake in Android devices, iOS apps temporarily changing from a paid app to free remained the most popular deals.  The 3 biggest movers on the chart Kogan, Shopping Express and Shopping Square have dominated the deals this year in help from it’s competitive pricing of Android phones such as the Samsung Galaxy S III.  Both Amazon.com and Greenman Gaming experienced surges in popular posts due to very competitive pricing on digitally delivered video games.

Gerry Harvey doesn’t have to worry as even the bargain hunters mostly do their shopping in Australia. While US companies increased their percentage from 8.5% to 10.7%,  it’s the emergence of other countries that has dropped Australia from 82.4% in 2011 to 78.1% in 2012.
