Factory Fast’s Daily Auction - Unique Bid for Free
For those who have been reading this blog would know my dislike of unique bid sites, i.e. the so-called “auction sites” where you need to pay a few dollars of admin fee to place a bid, and the person who has the highest/lowest unique bid wins. C’mon. It is not an auction. It is gambling. I can’t understand why people post this kind of sites on OzBargain. The next thing you know, “Hey this is a great bargain! I bought this lottery ticket for $2 and I am now 2 million dollars richer”. Yeah right…
Then today someone posted this deal on OzBargain — Free Daily Item Giveaway at Factory Fast! It is basically the same concept — lowest unique bidder wins. However, it costs you nothing to enter, and in case you win, it costs you nothing for the item. Free delivery as well! Everyday there is a new item for “auction”, and each registered member can only bid once. In this case it would be a competition rather than gambling — a competition that you can enter everyday and costs you nothing!
As of today Factory Fast is giving away a wooden easel, which is completely useless to me. But I am entering anyway because it is fun and it is free. Great marketing strategy though.
I ordered stuff on 5 April 2008 and still no sign - Factory Fast got their money from my credit card on 8 April - Thank You! Numerous emails to Factory Fast has elicited absolutely no response - who cares when they have your money!
NAB is going to investigate them our my behalf!
By the way - why is there no phone number or address on the factory fast site???? You do a simple search and they don’t actually exist—–great business isnt’t it!

Mmmm, beginning to see a trend here.
I too am having a problem. Ordered a snack maker 15 May, money taken 16 May, email to say dispatched 21 May then nothing.
Wrote an email and actually received a reply, but wasn’t that useful, wrote another but it seems their mailbox is full and is now bouncing back.
Thanks for the phone number, have rung and left a message, but not hopeful…..
