Don’t know if you would have caught my reply there in the node Scott, but I don’t get any kickback whatsoever from the DreamHost deal. I sacrificed the whole affiliate payout.

@Alissa — yes everything is 301 redirect from the old domains to new :)

Actually one reason behind the move is actually SEO related, but not in the sense of improving my search engine rating. I have been thinking about the move for a while, but was unable to due to some arrangement with text link advertisement (not fair to the advertisers if my ranking drops). Since I dropped the text link ads earlier this month, I actually do not feel much pressure from advertisers to move from a PR5 domain to an unranked site :)

Just be careful about your visitor traffic via organic searches as your SEO can be affected by redirecting and changing pages :)
