Yahoo Small Business Domains is now offering domain names under popular TLDs for USD$2.99 per domain per year, and Y! has generously given you the whole of Octoberthis year to make up your mind!
Not as cheap as the previous $1.99 deal, but at $2.99 it is far cheaper than many others. You don’t need to buy expensive service plan to get this price either! (hint: GoDaddy).
Now I just need to figure out what I should buy next.
Update — thanks to Thomas for notifying me that Yahoo’s $2.99 deal has been extended to 31 December 2005. Another two months where you can get cheap domains. Yum…

got here from your main blog… just a few probs with this deal…
if u use masked forwarding with yahoo, it inserts a yahoo banner ad…. i surely dont want that appearing with my site! and email forwarding is limited to yahoo email addresses only…
dunno if this is completely worth it, since i’m planning to register a domain soon… the price is certainly tempting!

I don’t see why shouldn’t they put a banner ad when you are just parking there and doing a web forward. After all, you paid only for the domain, and we all know that if you are serious about the new domain you have purchased, you’ll do your own DNS and point that to a proper hosting.
