Just saw it on the Coles catelogue received today.
Save on petrol – 8 cents per litre
Save 8c per litre on quality petrol when you spend $100 or more at any NSW Coles Supermarket.
Valid 12th September to 25th September, 2005.
I have previously covered some fuel saving tips previously, and it seems to be Coles/Shell’ latest counter-effort against Woolies/Caltex. There is no need to use a Source Mastercard this time, but depending on the size of your family, it might not be easy to spend $100+ in a supermarket…

The beepp discount fuel program is better than Coles or Woolies. Why?? it simply adds up to more $$ off on fuel by spreading your shopping around local independent businesses in your community.
Each beepp reward given is $1 and they cumulate, so with 5 cards get $5 off on fuel, beats getting $1-60 off on 40 litre atColes/ Woolies irrespective what you spend
Look at http://www.beepp.com for merchants and fuel sites nation wide
You just earn more and save more on fuel with beepp
John,
I agree http://www.beepp.com is an alternative to fuel saver coupons, and I might write about it sometime after trying it out.
However, from the example on the website, you need to spend $15+ in a cafe or $30+ in a supermarket to get a $1 off. It might not be that economical, especially comparing to spend $30 in either a Coles or a Woolies to get $1.60 off from a 40 litre 4 banger, or $2.60 off for a 65 litre 6 cylinder.
Moreover, I just checked the participating retailers, and there is *none* near Sydney Eastern suburbs, which means it won’t be that useful to me.
